Whether you came to TR for fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, camping, or sightseeing, you'll have easy access to all kinds of recreational opportunities. The Tucannon, Snake and Palouse Rivers are all just a few minutes away. Wenaha - Tucannon Wilderness, Lewis & Clark State Park, and Ski Bluewood, are also within 50 miles.

The Darver Tackle Shop in Starbuck has rods, reels, and tackle specially chosen for fishing our local rivers and streams. They also sell fishing licenses and are always happy to answer your angling questions or inform you of the current river conditions.

Historic Dayton has the oldest courthouse and depot in the state, both fully restored. They have walking tours of the 117 buildings that are on the National Historic Register.

The Last Resort is a year - round private park. Located in the Blue Mountains on the Tucannon Road between Dayton and Pomeroy. Public lands nearby contain 8 lakes and the Tucannon River. The Lewis & Clark Trail passes through the valley and there are markers showing their path.

Lewis & Clark Trail State Park is 37 acres with over 1300 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Touchet River. Fishing for rainbow and brown trout is excellent.
